Key Responsibilities:
- Collaboratively plan and deliver high-quality instruction in an Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) classroom to meet the diverse needs of all learners.
- Use data-driven and social-emotional practices to foster engagement and academic growth.
- Build a safe and inclusive environment that encourages student voice, high expectations, and restorative practices.
- Partner with families through consistent communication, support, and authentic engagement in student learning.
- Engage in reflective practices, professional development, and collaboration with colleagues to continuously improve teaching effectiveness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- New York State Dual Certification in Special Education and General Education, preferred.
- At least 2 years of demonstrated success in teaching, ideally in an Integrated Co-Teaching setting or high-performing urban schools.
- Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills, with a commitment to serving diverse student populations.
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus but not required.
- Student with Disabilities Certification Required
